TALISMAN explores the invisible threads that bind two sisters across time, place, and motherhood – an examination of memory, home, and the objects that carry us back to one another.

Created by sisters Janna Phillips and Sara cannon, Talisman is an exploration of shared memory and the enduring bonds of family. Drawing from a childhood rooted in the American South, years spent following separate paths, and the unexpected ways motherhood has brought them back into conversation. The exhibition reflects on the people, places, and objects that become our personal talismans. Through their distinct artistic voices, the sisters examine how identity is shaped by both distance and return, revealing that home is not simply a place, but a relationship that continues to evolve.
